Replace Entire Website URL

This process updates all old URLs to the new live domain across the database and site content after moving the site from local or staging to a live server.


Method 1: Elementor Replace URL (Quick Method)

Steps

  1. Login to WordPress Admin

  2. Go to Elementor → Tools

  3. Click Replace URL

  4. Enter Old URL and New Live URL

  5. Click Replace URL

  6. Clear cache and regenerate files


Method 2: Better Search & Replace (Recommended)

Steps

  1. Install Better Search Replace plugin

  2. Go to Tools → Better Search Replace

  3. Enter:

    • Search for: old URL

    • Replace with: new live URL

  4. Select All Tables

  5. First run with Dry Run enabled (recommended)

  6. Review results

  7. Uncheck Dry Run and run again to apply changes
